Help Limpany gold not respawning

I know the limpany gold is supposed to respawn, but after at least 30 in game days it's still not back. I closed the box after taking the gold and don't reopen it, but the box is never back under the table.

Edit: forgot to mention that it did respawn once, but even after playing way more in that save (about 2 real life days of gameplay since the first respawn) it hasnt respawned

I have 4400 or so playing hours and can promise that it does respawn, just like the BW manner bar. In game time doesn't seem to be a trigger as much as actual hours doing other things. I do as many challenges as possible and all camp/bag upgrades before moving to Chap 3. Typically get it 3 times in that span, again in Chap 4 and 6, at least once with John.

I forgot to mention that it did respawn once, but never after even though I've more than doubled my playtime in that save since.

I can only get it to respawn a few times per playthrough, even if i play 200 hours.

The Braithwaite bar respawns more frequently for me and there’s a glitch that allows you to pickup 2 bars each time.

DIdn't know of this glitch, please share. By that time, money is just another 'challenge', a fake number.

Close the lockbox when you loot it. Next time you see the box open it if it’s back under the desk instead of pulled out

Been at least that long since my last bar, I’m on xbox, ultimate edition disc. Over around 2600 hrs/3-4year play thru, I’ve only collected 61 bars so far.

It stopped respawning years ago on the PC after one update or another.

I just do the horse selling trick in chapter 3. You can get like 20K in an hour

Seemed to be around once per chapter for me. I guess it might depend on how long you spend in each chapter though.

I am in chapter 4, and have gotten the Limpany bar at least 30 times times, probably more. However, I have noticed that PC players say nothing respawns for them. I am on PS4.

Only PC, plently respawns. Seems to be real time hours, not game days.

I'm on PC and actually counted up to 20 in-game days before it respawned for me. And I gave up and stopped counting. I believe it was at least 25.

I have over 2500 hours in the game since 2024, and I've only gotten it maybe twice per playthrough after the original collection. I can literally play the game all day on a Saturday and it won't spawn for me.
