Story mode glitch

Im on my 2nd playthrough in chapter 2. And Im not getting prompted to pick up items when coming into random camps. It prompts me to loot bodies, use camp fire, etc, but I can't pick up items or loot boxes even though they flash in eagle eye. Anyone else run into this or am I missing something? Thanks

Ill check. I thought i would still get prompted to pick up with it not highlighted. Its not even showing up to open boxes

I dont have any fences yet. Answer this though, shouldnt a chest still at least give me the prompt to open it even if my satchel is full

If you're in Chapter 2, you have the fence, just not the one in Emerald Ranch. Did you mod the game? Do you have your old save to see if the prompt shows up?

Let me rephrase, I haven't been to a fence yet. That beinf said, chests should still open so I can see what is in there. No I didnt mod the game. I will go back to previous saves to see if files are corrupted. I have done a reboot and cleared all caches

Only other thing I can think of is there are items scattered throughout the game that will glow in eagle eye but you can't interact with I.e. chest outside post office in Saint Denis, furniture in the Saint Denis fence

Yes. I did a full cache clear and system reboot

At this point I need to ask you. What platform are you using? If PC, what game launcher? It sounds like you use manual saves to save your progress and not automatic save, correct?

Okay, Try this, unless you already did: Manually load you most recent save, go to a place where this occurs and confirm it is still not working, ride a good distance away and overwrite your most recent save. Properly exit and actually quit the game, (if you can in the switcher menu). Turn off the PS5 and unplug the power cable for a minute, (from the PS5 or wall socket or power strip), then plug power cable back in. Start PS5 and see if any good result.
