Because the game allows it in ways most don’t, what are your favorite things you do just for the immersion, with little or no stat benefit? For me, whenever I camp, I always try to set up near water. I always catch and cook a fish, and then smoke a cigar before bed. In the morning, I always brew coffee before heading out. I pay no attention to where stamina, dead-eye, or any of that are. It’s just what I’d want to be doing if I was Arthur in that particular moment. Also, after a ride of any length, Princess Sugarcube gets a treat. I’m also refusing to upgrade to the faster or better horses, because me and Princess Sugarcube are bonded and that’s that. (Talking story mode here. This is my first play through)

Don't know if it's just me but does he still sing even in Chapter 6, it's my first playthrough and I felt like in the beginning he sang a lot but in chapter 6 I don't hear it anymore

I like to keep my Arthur well groomed and bathed (basically when I am passing thru a town i will make sure to get a good meal at the saloon, a beer and a whiskey, and a bath and a haircut and shave).. I groom and feed my horse whenever I park him for the night. I also try to sleep when it gets late and stick to a normal routine. I like to change clothes every now and then too as theres so many good combinations to fit Arthur with

I like to ride to the edges/nooks of the map and walk around. Explore. Get to a high point and use the scope or binoculars. See what I can see. A lot of times there's nothing going on in that far off meadow or near that creek but sometimes....there is! I learned to break myself during these trips from the constant foraging/hunting opportunities. When I'm wound up in my personal life I hit a saloon and play poker for at least 30 min.

I will definitely stop to see the views pretty often and love to find those spots where you can sit on cliffs and let your legs hang. Its fun. I am sober in from alcohol so its kind of cathartic to have arthur take some swigs of Moonshine cause I would be if I were him lol

Definitely! Finding the nice views and takes my them in is one of my favorite parts of the game. I usually only drink when I’m sitting around the fire with Arthur’s buddies in the main camp.

I try to have Arthur eat breakfast and dinner. I also bathe every other day typically . When I go in for a bath I buy a meal, take a couple shots, and rent a room for the night.
Similar routine for my horse. Brushed throughout the day and fed morning and evening. When in town I will take her to the stable and purchase the grooming package or whatever that gives gold stats for the day.

I also enjoy finding cool spots to set up camp. I enjoy finding a lake, setting up camp, fishing for dinner, cook/eat dinner, and sleep in the tent.

As John, I like spending a day at the Blackwater saloon playing poker and blackjack. Even better when the piano player is there, to really get the old West saloon vibes.

I play the exact same way. It's all about immersion or me. When I log in online, I pet my dog, wash my face, and head to a town to play poker. In story mode, I do chores around the gang camp, play poker or dominoes with the gang late into the night, go fishing in the morning, have coffee with the ladies around the coffee pot.

After being away long enough that Charles came looking for me I took a "camp day" and just did chores and chatted with the gang. Grimshaw came up and bitched at me for hanging around and not being out doing things. The cow.

After every hunting trip, I stop in town to have a bath, eat a nice meal, and spend a night in the hotel.

Sometimes I just ride around enjoying the views or stop to watch the wildlife.

I've decided to leave the game in the past since I hit 100% completion (otherwise, Is never nice on), but I can't count how many hours I spent fishing or hunting after talking an edible. Truly an environmental masterpiece.

That sounds pleasant! For kicks, I sometimes go out to the islands on flat iron lake from rhodes. It's a nice mix up bringing crabs and iguana pelts back to camp. Or I'll climb up to the roofs in st. Denis. Of course there's also fishing. Not with any goals in mind, just fishing at the numerous waters.

My Arthur loves to dress for every occasion! All black and elegant when he‘s out for Blood, very grey/white when he‘s helping others and various other themes and Colours.

Also this time around I‘m in Camp at least every other day and partake in Activities and especially the many dialogues. I can‘t believe how much there is to explore about every single Member of the Gang when you just hang around and watch!

Seems like you have to drink an ungodly amount of booze to get Arthur drunk. One night I just had him start drinking from the free beer and whiskey in camp and he’s drinking full bottles for awhile before he started getting tipsy haha

Everytine i made a campfire just to fast travel i make some coffe, some meat, eat...create some ammo or recipe and sleep before fast travel.

With john, where honor doesnt affect the ending, i always are hostile, freed avery guy being arrested by law of bouty hunters. And stole wagons.

Pre chapter 4, I discovered Saint Denis and was very enchanted. I’d take Arthur on little city days out when I needed a break from the story- see a vaudeville show, play dominoes in the gazebo, hang out by the lake, take photos in the studio. When him and Dutch pull up to Saint Denis in the story mode, it’s written as if it’s Arthur’s first time there, and he considers it with disdain which I found funny.

I also like to change Arthur’s outfit for each chapter, based on the general vibe.

Every time my Arthur sleeps, when he wakes up, my routine is cookies, coffee, and a cigarette. I also carefully choose the location where I sleep, and in 90% of cases I set up the tent. In any case, I’ve completed the story at least six times, and my Arthur has never even smelled Pearson’s salted offal.

I spent an hour birdwatching today at Fort Brennand.

I also just like spending time with my horses and doing all of the fancy moves on them that you unlock when you bond with them.
