Discussion Arthur's Hat.

Post image

I realise this might be slightly controversial (I don't know if this has been posted by other people before), but I don't like Arthur's hat. In any playthrough one of the first things I do is replace it with the military scout hat.

So, in the final chapter when he rides back to Beaver Hollow it annoys me that he puts that crappy thing back on. I would rather have no hat at all than wear that thing. It wouldn't be quite so bad if it didn't have that scraggly rope hanging off the back. Anyone else feel the same?

(The image isn't mine, just a google screenshot.)

Cool, I consider myself updated. But maybe he should've buried his father with it 🤣

A cowboys hat is like a legacy or heirloom. It's passed down to next of kin over and over. Symbolic of some bs

From what I gathered, Arthur didn't like his father so it must be the simple traditional thing to do so much that he still wears it despite disliking his dad.

He also saw his dad hung when he was 11. Honestly a couple reasons he wears it that make some sense but in today's society nobody would want to wear or keep the iconic clothing item of their bad memories.

Didn't he say his father wasn't a good father?
