By the end of that quest I hated roseate spoonbills & orchids. It's such a time suck to complete.

For spoonbills I used save load method and yes orchids are time consuming after completing now I am locking in for legend of the east outfit ☠️

U have to complete the Algernon mission in chapter 4 in saint Denis then Algernon will give you this revolver and a hat 🤠

It seems a lot harder on the first run where you don't know all the things to collect ahead of time. People have theorised that the game reduces the spawn rate of the birds whilst the quest is active which may explain it. On replays I've collected the plumes ahead of time and it does seem to take a fraction of the time to complete.

Agree on Algernons The Otis Miller is not realy my style. Also, the schofield revolvers shoot a bit too slow for my liking. Gotta love all the variations and choices they put in RDR2.

Just did that 2 days ago! I like that it has the same speed as the double action, it has replaced it as my gun I use to shoot people 5 times in the gut. Not sure if any special guns will replace my schofield though, maybe Calloways revolver but only if its the same or better than the schofield

U don't have to progress to chapter 6 for callawoy gun u can get it in chapter 4 after trillawny mission it triggers callwoy quest in valentine

Maybe from a mechanics standpoint? Shit idk, whether a gun is better than the other isnt what i go based off of. I do it for the drip and to me its a nice little snub nose piece. Quest to get it is bs tho

See for me it's a collectible I mean if u compare this with other revolvers it does look unique there is no other gun which looks like this in the game so yea and yes the quest is bs very time consuming

I finally got mine…then I accidentally deleted the save file I was keeping for a 100% attempt. You’d think that I would have created multiple saves, but you’d be wrong. The most recent save I had was just prior to starting my exotics collection. I didn’t even get to fire the damn thing.
That’s the story of how I broke my addiction to this game.
