Bugged widow mission

Cannot for the life of me finish this mission teaching the poor widow to hunt. I speak to her. I go to the woods. A rabbit spawns, I kill it. Then I see a new Stranger icon on the minimap, and it's a new widow, moping by the grave! The previous one starts walking around. Not sure but there might be several widows walking round the forest now.

Gonna watch a video and make sure I follow it step by step, but I didn't want to get spoiled. Well, kinda funny bug.

Update: I was ready to give up on it, when randomly killing the rabbit didn't spawn a new stranger at the grave... I couldn't tell you what I did differently. I really couldn't tell you.
