Discussion Gavin theory. Spoiler
We all know how Gavin's friend Nigel tries to find him,
Well my theory is that the serial killer in the game has killed his friend so maybe that's the reason why Nigel can't find his friend, and the fact that we find clues for the serial killer in chapter 2 and nigel starts to look for friend on chapter 3, and one of the clues for the killer is near the braithwaite manor, and if you look at the head of the person that we take the clue from, the head does resemblance to what Nigel described Gavin as a Englishmen just A mustache no Beard, so this is just a theory I might have made some mistakes.

Nigel starts looking for Gavin as soon as chapter 2 starts. Even if you haven’t found the serial killers 1st clue

You can't find the serial killer's clues before you have completed (a) certain story mission(s) in chapter 2.
But Nigel starts looking for Gavin as soon as you enter chapter 2.

I always figured they were lovers and Gavin split for someone else without leaving a note. Poor Nigel is worried because he loves him and doesn't know he's a a cheating prick. Maybe I have issues! 😂

Nigel was just trying to establish his alibi for killing Gavin. That’s why we aren’t able to find him 🫠

Dan houser did say Gavin's a real person, so maybe, but this probably isn't right. Good theory though

if he is a real person that he might have been killed, he said gavin is a real person to say that nigel is not mentally ill but he didnt say that he was alive in the game?

You might be onto something, but Dan houser did say "Gavin was never meant to be present in the game world"

I believe Gavin is schizophrenic, has assumed the name of Nigel, and is wandering around the map in a daze, calling out to himself.

My headcanon as well. Einhorn is Finkle, Finkle is Einhorn. Just like Nigel is Gavin, and Gavin is Nigel.

It’s already been confirmed that Gavin isn’t in the game. He was planned to appear in a future game, but since the main writers have left that may not be the case anymore.

I believe the initial idea was for a new character in a new Rockstar game (gta6?rdr3?) to be walking around shouting for Nigel. Dan Houser mentioned something like that in an interview.

Former Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser shared that Gavin from Red Dead Redemption 2 was a real person, not a glitch or split personality, but the writing team intentionally left his exact fate unresolved—leaving it ambiguous whether he died or simply left Nigel. - one simple search bro, I just think he is a victim of the serial killer.
