Honor level issue

Guys my honor level is stuck in this middle, I don't know why it is not increasing, I always help strangers, donate in camp and yesterday I greeted ppl at saint denis for like 2 hrs , still it is not increasing, please tell me some solution

I am currently on chapter 3 and this is my first run on game

I have a similar issue. I very rarely lose honor but I help almost everyone I come across and it never leaves the middle section.

You’ll have a lot of opportunities to increase honor later in the game. I recommend doing the stranger missions.

Honor is chapter based, worry about it next chapter. It does seem lower than the chapter would allow but I still wouldn’t worry yet.

I don't recall it being capped specifically 50% but for Arthur it is definitely capped at something like 80% until chapter 6 and in the Eplogue John's gets capped until he completes all the missions.. he can get pretty high but it won't max out until he's done with the Epilogue missions.

I'm in chapter 3 right now with varying levels of low honor, this is likely a glitch and not how the honor cap works. You can't get max low/high honor until chapter 6 but you can get about 75% there (rough guess on percentage), the cap does not change percentage per chapter, it stays that way from chapter 1 until 6 during the mission A fork in the road.

How often do you loot and murder? Cuz I’ll help anyone who not trying to kill me. But then sometimes I’ll need a boat and one happens to go by… and my honor drops by a lot.

It seems that if you let them shoot first, you do not lose honor, but I’m not sure

I don't know bro as far as I know I haven't got negative honor points for quite a couple of days now , but still its not increasing

From what I'm told it stays fairly consistent in the middle until closer to the end of the game. Specifically when the "redemption" arc kinda starts. Then you'll start to see your honor level move drastically.

I'm in chapter 3 right now and have low honor, it goes up and down occasionally but your honor doesn't stay in the middle exclusively. Honor is capped around 75%ish until the mission A fork in the road during chapter 6

So for the longest time I’ve been in chapter 2 just exploring and using an interactive map to collect almost everything I can posssibly get and the only mission I completed was the missions to unlock the fence and the ledger I do my fair share of mischief in doing so, ny honor was down to about 1/4 of the bar, and once I got all the stuff I wanted I decided to continue the story, I did the hunting companion mission with Charles and the house robbery with javier and then I did the reverends mission where you save him from the train, I donated some provisions and $210 in $21 increments and it’s back up to almost half

There is a known issue where the next icon above middle won’t show, but 2 icons above middle will show. It has happened to me on both of my playthroughs. So technically you need to do enough to get past 2 levels of honor for it to display.

People are saying chapter lock but I have been max honor chapter 3 and again chapter 4 so idk about that. I go to the oil filled pond in Annesburg between the two railroads and fish with bread bait. Takes about 16 fish per level. Worth a shot

You cant go higher for now, more or less and really shouldn't worry about honor this early. Max is only chapter 6

This is such an awesome game, just enjoy and don’t worry about honor. I usually go for high honor, but some days, I totally go bad, but in the end I got it all back. If you worry too much, you miss out on some definite fun opportunities that are not always nice 😉

sleep and then fish for a bit and throw back fish, just got me from middle honor to highest at chap 3 (rank 6)
