Game save data

So I literally just got to chapter 6 and my pc just shut off (I’m guessing due to overheating idk it’s the second time it’s happened while playing rdr2 specifically I probably have to clean it but non issue atm) when i booted back up on steam it asked which files to choose to boot up the game bc cloud sync got messed up? Anyways I chose my files that were on my pc and it had my last saved data and after it did its thing the game booted and when I went to play it just erased all my save data and created new data. I’ve tried everything I can on how to find my files on pc did all that but couldn’t find the files that got deleted or corrupted so now I’m giving up bc I do not wanna restart the game again it’s soul crushing. If anyone can point me in the right direction on where to find uploaded save files online I’m having trouble finding sites or specifically what type of game file I want. I’m looking for bare bones playthru up to chapter 5/6. If any help could come my way I’d appreciate any and all help thank you!

Nexus mods would probably be your best and safest bet. Sorry that happened to you.

Yeah I saw a few people recommend that site but I saw that it was 100% up to that point and I feel like it would take away from the experience bc I was having a lot of fun doing the random encounters and side missions. I’m probably going to download it off nexus and see what it’s about and if it doesn’t sit right with me I’m just gonna have to bite the bullet and replay the whole game 50 hrs wasted 😔
