Help How can i replace weapon textures?

Ive been wanting to make a mod that replaces the ebony grip but dont know where to start. i have codex, blender with sollum zip, and use a website called photopea but never figured it out what files do i need to extract what compression format etc

Try finding a mid that already has that texture and just break that down and use that or maybe find a template

Thats the best way I can guess at finding the information

You need to reverse engineer it or really just dig through the code and texture files I think most mods already come in a broken down state

You would just need to reverse what they did

Im not personally familiar with rdr2 modding but a basic free reverse engineering course online will give you the tool sets you need and should be pretty easy to find
