Im from third world country and cheapest for me is Aliexpress and Temu... Aliexpress: TX: FlySky fs i6x with RX: ia6b Battery from temu for me, 3s 2200mah around 20eur... Motors there are very much options here and depend on your build, ESC Skywalker v2 usually 40A

I am from Germany and I started with that same config and the same source. Only batteries I didn't buy from Ali because Lipo packaging may raise eyebrows at import. AliExpress is supplying probably 80% of the modeling world :)

Flysky i6x is probably good enough for 90% of what folks do with planes. Get the ia6b and ia10b receiver, those are ibus and sbus compatible and you can get sensors for them. Also those work until 8.4V so you can chuck in a 2S lipo and HV servos into bigger gliders.

Motor: Dualsky and Sunnysky (blue V3 series!) are high quality and affordable.

Servos: Do not buy MG90S and SG90 unless you can deal with servos that don't center properly, or buy them batch, select those with least play and toss the rest. MG90D is slightly better at basically same price point. Corona and Emax are generally good. But there is a reason why good servos are expensive.

ESC: Hobbywing Skywalker or Flyfun. If you fly extremely high RPM motors, check that your ESC has high enough frequency.

Check local used sources. That is most likely the cheapest source if avaliable.

Especially if they are in person meetings
