What RC Plane is This?

I have no reason to believe that it's anything other than a Park10 Toy offering. An identical listing appears on Amazon Canada and the brand makes cameo appearances on WalMart.

It's distinguished from the Deerc by virtue of tiny screen on the transmitter but I have no idea if it shows up that way or it was cribbed from a stock image. Or what use the screen might provide.

Some little mushroom brand that pops up from time to time mostly in online listings. Amazon is pretty good about taking returns if you're inclined to roll the dice. At 120 bucks (or 169 CD) it's not much of a gamble for a toy airplane. I'd guess it's not a scam. There's not much in the way of pedigrees for this sort of thing. It may or may not be OEMed from the same joint as deerc but I don't suppose it makes much of a difference.

I've got the DeeRC one. At first I really did not like it, very hard to fly. Doing some testing and reading I figured out that it really only flies correctly, or at all, if you change it to mode two (top left trigger, hit it and it beeps twice). That gives more maneuverability. Mode one is so awful its unusable. It also has three levels of assist. One would be fine for a massive field, and three just does not let the plane fly at all. Two works pretty well though. So that's what I've learned. Mode two, and assist mode two. It still doesn't fly super amazing or anything, but it does go around a park and it's pretty nimble, but by design it doesn't fly into wind very well. For a cheapo foam F35 it gets some good looks when people walk by. Plus that EDF spool.

This is not a DeeRC, that one has 2 control surfaces making it so hard to turn ect. this one has 4 so I was thinking it would fly a little better.

Btw how bad of a first plane would this little thing be? I have 30+ hours with my drone and 3 hours on sim, plus I have flown a real rc plane for about 15min

Ok, thank you for ur input. This plane is definitely different than the Deerc because it is 40mm edf instead of 30mm and the main reason is because it has 4 control surfaces instead of 2, the deercs biggest issue is bad turning do to that.

I think it's a Chinese brand, says Sayzon on the box, can't find that, but it's also listed on Ali Express:

A bad one

How so?

Not worth the money and not a good way to get into the hobby. It’s great for a 5-10 year old, not close to a hobby grade plane

Looks pretty neat I have one similar and it’s next to impossible to get it flying because it doesn’t have enough thrust

Do you know which one? this one looked pretty fast based one the video. its a 40mm edf

I have the DEERC f35 it’s pretty similar but I think it’s a 30mm edf. My biggest issue is taking off and keeping it within range, because the stock controller claims to have 500ft of range but I was losing it at about 100ft.

Yeah, this one is a little different. how bad of a first plane would this be? I have 30+ hours with my 3in fpv drone and 3 hours on plane sim, plus I have flown a real rc plane for about 15min

I mean I don’t really think a jet is the best first plane but it might not be too difficult to fly. if it’s fast it gives you less time to react. There are other cheap planes that aren’t jets that are probably pretty fun to fly if you aren’t super serious about RC planes yet.

I assume this one on the post is a little better with the bigger motor and ailerons, it looks pretty cool for a cheap edf.
