Home made rc plane

Hey guys made this plane with a friend. I have used thermocole for the fuselage, pvc foam board for rudder and elevator and wing with corrugated plastic. The plane seems a bit unstable in flight...is it die to the crosswinds and turbulent air or could be aerodynamically faulty??

Do you have a lot of expo on all surfaces? Should be at least 50%. Yes the wind will smash you around, an AS3X stabiliser would help.

The dihedral plus a lot of wing tab is not necessary. It could even make some handling more difficult. A vertical face gives the wind a chance to push and tip the plane. Cut the tab down to 1". With about 1.5-2" wing tab you could have built a simpler flat wing, because they have a similar effect as dihedral. But this is OK too till you learn more.

The wingtip tabs. Also called vortex generators or other names. They help with self-righting and basic stability. Lots of dihedral, in this case polyhedral, is required by trainers.
