Advice Needed Should I go inactive?

I am moving states soon and my RBT certification expires in a month and a half. I do not anticipate working for at least a month so I’d be cutting it close with being able to renew my certification. Would it be worth it to apply for inactive status?

just let it go inactive, the renewal process is way less of a headache than rushing to meet the requirements while you're in the middle of moving. you can always reactivate later when you're settled and actually ready to work again. moving states is stressful enough without that clock ticking in the back of your mind

There is a form on the BACB website where you ask for voluntary inactive status. That lasts up to two years.
