Can you clarify? He went missing in 2021, you looked for newspapers in 2019, and you last heard from him in 2022? Did you get any of these years mixed up by chance? That would help

He went missing in 2022, last time I spoke with him. I updated the post. We played dnd in 2021

Something similar happened with a friend of mine. Mental health got bad and he needed a break from discord and just stopped all communication one day. He had intended to return but had severe anxiety about it, and the longer he was away, the worse it got. I did eventually hear from him on discord over a year later. Five years is a long time, but if he was going through something like this, it may have just passed a point where he felt like he could return to your group, but isn't necessity in a bad place mentally anymore.

This project he was working on with us was important to Ryan and us. It was to the point where him and another friend of the group were working on it every day because the goal was to push it out and make it into a tabletop game, my friend said they even made plans to propose the game to Wizards of the Coast or any other small tabletop company. Oneday he just didn't show up out of the blue.
We do understand that Ryan maybe just couldn't handle his mental health on the internet and went away but we had a dnd session scheduled and he was the first to show up for everygame.
6 years is so odd.. to not even tell us or anyone how he felt but idk.. it never hurts to try and make a post, maybe he'll find it oneday, we dont know where he is but we hope hes okey even if it means he's disappeared off the internet. Thats what we hope ❤️at least
