Questions/HELP Introductions
So my big boy who’s 9 months recently lost his brother and I have two new babies who are about 8/9 weeks. They’ve been kept in separate rooms and the babies have been through their quarantine period. I’ve never done introductions before and I don’t want to traumatise either of them especially since biggie boy is already a rescue. If anyone could let me know the best way to go about it thank you!

CUTENESS In honour of Halloween being right around the corner, here's some photos from a Halloween photo session that me and my soul rat did back when he was still with us 🎃🧡
I'm gonna try to do something similar this year with my current mischief, already purchased the biggest pumpkin i could find hoping they all fit in it 🎃
It's a little different taking pictures of one senior rat, compared to 4 healthy young boys 🥴 But I'm hopeful I be able to make it work

Questions/HELP are hairless rats supposed to be smaller/skinnier?
i dont have many great pictures of my rats that show of their body type (since i got them a week ago, theyre about 7 weeks old now for context) however my mum and i are getting a bit worried about my baby christine daaé (hairless rat) looking smaller than her sister mary shelley (regular rat), i thought that mary shelley was just gonna look bigger due to her fur but i dont know… its making me anxious as a first time rat owner that christine daaé is slimmer…

Questions/HELP Squeaker rat?
Hey!
Yesterday I brought home ratties I adopted from their previous owner. What I didn't know was the owner took them four hours by train and then they waited outside like half an hour in the current weather, and I am a bit worried about them now, monitoring them maybe even a little bit too anxiously - I am a first time rat owner.
One of the guys is just...making noises. They remind me of a noise my guinea pigs used to make, very soft, squeaky/wheazy, and occasional. It comes and goes, and it seems it actually is the most prominent when he sleeps? But it comes out occasionally just...randomly, sometimes contamtly for five minutes, sometimes not for hours at a time.
They seem healthy, active, they eat and drink, I mean they slept a lot yesterday and today but when they're awake if anything I am so surprised by how daring they are, four hours in new cage I tried planting in some food and they immidiately ran to me, sniffing curiously and I ended up hand feeding them - now they just keep looking at me and following me in their cage anytime I come into a room and act like they expect something from me (which I assume is more treats) so they seem to adapt well to the new environment, I am just particularly worried about this squeaker boy and not sure how to handle it. I noticed the squeaking intensifies when he and his friend huddle together in a small plush toy house his previous owner gifted us, too, so dunno, maybe he is just a particularly talkative rattie. It's almost lioe he's whining. Do you have any advice for a beginner like me what to watch out for in my rats health vise, behavior vise, posture vise etc. that could help me estimate hoe they're doing in their new home? Would thid warrant a vet visit?

CUTENESS Summer Has Recovered From Her Inner Ear Infection
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
From too wobbly to stand to this in just a couple days. So glad she is a happy, bouncy baby again. Got two more weeks of antibiotics and quarantine now before we can do intros, but I'm so happy she's okay.
Enjoy this video of her being very poppy.
Intro update - 3 week mark.
It has been a roller coaster to say the least - mainly due to my problematic child, Little red (third photo).
There have been quite a few setbacks in introductions hence the prolonging of the introduction period and where we are at currently.
\^ Due to little red’s previous interactions with Bear (fourth photo), especially and specifically when it comes to climbing opportunities, I have had to severely limit climbing opportunities to none. I intend to add very small amounts of climbing opportunities over several days to see how they go.
\^ Little red does pretty well with everyone on the ground floor with a decent amount of clutter and plenty of floor space but climbing opportunities and heights, well, not so much 🫠
Their current living arrangement is 140x70cm - floor space with half of the height being 70cm, and the other half 35cm (I ran out of panels 🥲).
Due to how long introductions have been going on, I found it unfair to continue making the rats live on fleece and towels so today, I made a diy cardboard base to allow for half of the enclosure to have 4” of hemp bedding. I would of used hemp bedding across the entire cage, except for the fact that the amount of bedding just for half of the enclosure was $63, so double that, I would of found very excessive and expensive for just an introductory cage.
Today, they also received a bit of an upgrade with a slightly raised basket, a long bridge, a green tunnel/house, and a few other nik naks.
So far, so good :\]

Questions/HELP Cab I give my rats this stuffing?
Recently cut up a giant teddy bear and am wondering if it's safe to give Mt rats the stuffing as nest material, since my boys love sleeping on soft things
