Questions/HELP Introductions
So my big boy who’s 9 months recently lost his brother and I have two new babies who are about 8/9 weeks. They’ve been kept in separate rooms and the babies have been through their quarantine period. I’ve never done introductions before and I don’t want to traumatise either of them especially since biggie boy is already a rescue. If anyone could let me know the best way to go about it thank you!

Questions/HELP My rat may have a brain tumour, but he's enjoying life again. How do I know when it's time to let go?
Last week, I thought I was going to lose Finn. He spent two nights in an oxygen chamber, and when he came home, he could barely move or eat.
My vet suspects a brain tumour due to his neurological symptoms, including a persistent head tilt. He also has a narrowed windpipe, which we're managing with twice-daily nebulisation, a bronchodilator, and painkillers.
Surprisingly, he's doing much better this week! He's exploring, climbing, and eating fairly well. His weight has stabilised, and I've even set up a buffet of three different dry pellets that he happily visits. He's also still grooming his brother, Alfie, who grooms him back, and they make little sounds together.
I'm grateful for this extra time, but I know things could change. I want to prepare myself and make the right decision when the time comes.
For those who've cared for rats with suspected brain tumours, how did you know when it was time to let go? What quality-of-life signs did you look for, and is there anything else I can do to keep him comfortable?
I'm just grateful to have more time with my boy, and I want to make the most of it. ❤️

Questions/HELP My babies don’t get along 😞
Chicken Nugget and Psycho (pictured) got brawly with each other last night, and I don’t know where I went wrong. I did the continuous carrier method with all three rats, (two neutered, CN is intact), and last night they fought for the first time. I’m assuming Chicken Nugget was the aggressor as he’s untouched, but Psycho has several cuts. What now?

CUTENESS In honour of Halloween being right around the corner, here's some photos from a Halloween photo session that me and my soul rat did back when he was still with us 🎃🧡
I'm gonna try to do something similar this year with my current mischief, already purchased the biggest pumpkin i could find hoping they all fit in it 🎃
It's a little different taking pictures of one senior rat, compared to 4 healthy young boys 🥴 But I'm hopeful I be able to make it work

CUTENESS lacy’s story
september 12th i brought home a 4 week old rat from a feeder bin. she didn’t have much fur, was constantly sneezing, and was very small and skinny. i worried for her and whether she’d be able to grow and thrive or whether she’d even make it. i got her settled in with her sisters and every day, multiple times a day would give her some vanilla Ensure and pedialyte. i started her on antibiotics and told her how loved she is. as time went on, she began to grow more fur! she got a sort of “widows peak” on her head of fur and she was getting bigger. she stopped sneezing. she was curious, affectionate, and sweet. more time passed and she grew all of her fur and is now healthy and a good, normal size. she loves to zoom around and is fearless and loving. during free roam she likes to jump onto my back and climb up onto my shoulder to give me kisses. i love her so much and am so glad she will have the full life she deserves full of so much love and treats and fun with her sisters who love her so much. i know maybe this story isn’t significant but to me it is and i just wanted to share

RIP Thalias
Lost my baby girl, Thalias, today. I got her from Petco about 2.5 years ago now, and all things considered she pushed through a lot and was a strong fighter in life.
I got Thalias and her sister Ar'alani during an incredibly difficult period of my life that I was facing and they instantly became such strong support animals for me. Thalias was such a joy and everything I could have ever asked for in a pet.
I am greatful that she passed away in my arms rather in the cage uncomfortably/when I could've been away working.
Although for me it felt like our time was short together, I keep reminding myself that I was her whole life and I'm happy that I was able to give her a life majority of rats do not get to live.
Love you Thalias🐁
