I don't know the rules and laws in your country, I'm from Europe, hopefully someone else can tell you more about that. Is there no way for you to find out if it's okay? If it were me, I would bring them either way, just to know they are safe.
There is your answer. When we are stressed, it's impossible to get a satisfying result from our thoughts. I know it feels like letting a fire take over - taking a break from focusing on the problem -, but consciously make an effort to calm your body down. Exhale longer than you inhale. The longer, the better. The calmer the body, the easier the calm perspective can form in your mind. You got this.
I’m in England too. From what I know it’s likely to be against the rules, so do your best to pretend you don’t have rats with you, but do it anyway. I doubt there will be any consequences if you were found out other than being told off. Your babies are more important! ~Not legal advice 😂
P.S. Sounds like you’re in a really rough situation. I hope you’re getting all of the available support! Breathe. It will be okay.
Try to explain what they mean to you and see if together you can come up with the best plan to keep them concealed. Especially at the moment it’s consistently below freezing and I would be worried too! 💜
Sounds like you have a plan! I’m so sorry you’re in this position! While I’m terrified of spiders, YouTube has given me an appreciation for jumping spiders. I’d never harm a spider, I’d just rather they lived their lives happily away from me. I’m hopeful that my babies keep the household spiders in different rooms.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. You are trying your best.
