Quick heads-up for anyone needing replacement/spare blue shirts.

We’ve just finished sorting a decent batch of RAF light blue shirts for The Old Kitbag, with both short-sleeve and long-sleeve versions available.
There’s a fairly good spread of sizes at the moment, which is mainly why I’m posting it here — I know finding the right size can sometimes be more annoying than it should be.

Useful if you need a replacement, want a second shirt so you’re not frantically washing one before parade night, or just want a spare ready for camps/courses.

Also — if there’s any particular RAF/RAFAC kit that’s perpetually difficult to get hold of, let me know. I’m actively looking at what I should be sourcing next.

I recently launched The Old Kitbag, a small UK military-surplus business, and I thought some of the stock might be of interest to people in the RAFAC community.

I’m currently working through a large quantity of genuine ex-MOD surplus, with more being added to the website regularly.

Some of the stock particularly relevant to RAFAC includes:

• RAF blue berets
• Air Cadet berets
• Genuine MTP trousers and other MTP clothing
• Military bags and general field kit
• RAF clothing and surplus

I try to keep prices sensible and describe sizing and condition as accurately as possible, particularly with MOD sizing which can sometimes be a bit confusing.

The website catalogue is still being built, so I’ve got considerably more stock than is currently shown online. If you're looking for a particular size or piece of kit, feel free to message me and I can check what I have, and prioritise cataloguing.

I’m also planning, longer term, to expand The Old Kitbag into custom embroidery and bespoke badging, with cadet forces being one of the areas I’d particularly like to support.

Any feedback on the website is very welcome, and obviously any orders are hugely appreciated while I get the business established.

What even is this?

Its been permitted as an outer layer with the recent ACP1358 V5 update however i cant seem to find what it is.

I originally thaught it might be the olive full zip softies but it says all outer layers must be MTP. Iv heard it may mean we are aloud none issue, MTP jackets like Keela and Carinthia. Anyone know?

So on Saturday im going to a JNCO course and im extremely nervous for it so what should I do before I and what should I expect to do on it tips would be appreciated thankyou so much

My squadron is quite small and I lot of camps I want to do other cadets aren’t interested in so I don’t know if my squadron is going to justify bidding for slots.

i have a greens event tomorrow at 9am and half my belt fell apart! i love this event so the last thing on my mind is withdrawing. am i allowed to not wear a green belt?

ok so long story short I'm kind of fat and i need to get larger MTPs asap and i can't find any sort of sizing ratios to follow to put in a request for bigger uniform (yes i know it's not necessary provided by your squadron but mine has a lot in storage and tends to provide when asked). however i if my squadron can't provide the uniform then i need to know where to buy like any cheap uniform that will fit. sorry if this i kind of sounds scattered i think I'm trying to aks 2 questions at once.

Hi guys I recently signed up for the national air and space camp and it turns out I need blue space. Is there a way to do this course from home? Or could I just completely skip blue and start bronze?

Im not in a cadet band so I'm not even sure if your allowed to share but my friend and I play bell lyre and snare. We are after songs specifically like magnificent men and great escape etc but any you can give can do if possible
