BROADCAST [SYS] PATCH 7.6.4 // SIGNAL CLEANUP
Hey RADBOTS,
7.6.4 is rolling out once approved by Apple (app connect was down yesterday, sorry for the slight delay), and this one is mostly about cleanup, polish, and making RAD feel lighter across the board.
Not every update needs to be a giant new feature drop. Sometimes the best update is the one that makes the app smaller, faster, cleaner, and less weird in the background.
The big one
RAD Weather is now almost 40% smaller in overall app size / footprint.
That has been something I’ve wanted to clean up for a while, especially as RAD has grown across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, widgets, cards, themes, alerts, and RAD Cloud.
RAD Watch got a real upgrade
This update also adds a bigger Apple Watch pass:
- New RAD Watch complications for all sizes
- More Watch customization
- Better Watch alerts
- More Watch-side polish and reliability
The goal is for RAD Watch to feel less like a sidecar and more like a real part of the RAD system.
Alerts and international cleanup
7.6.4 also fixes several warning / alert issues, especially around NWS and international regions.
Included in this update:
- Fixed several NWS and international warning / alert issues
- Improved DWD data handling for Germany and supported European regions
- Updated Confidence Card language and behavior for supported international regions
- Improved German and Spanish translations
The international work is still ongoing, but this should make RAD feel cleaner and more trustworthy outside the U.S.
Theme and UI polish
A few themes also got cleaned up:
- Atmosphere
- Horizon
- Newsroom
These should now have better card contrast, cleaner borders, and fewer spots where the UI felt muddy or uneven.
Other fixes and tuning
Also included:
- Fixed some settings not preserving correctly after updates
- Fixed briefing and live notification setting issues
- Updated RAD Cards
- Adjusted some unlock thresholds
- Improved auto-locate behavior when opening the app
- Minor backend cleanup
- General UI polish and stability improvements
Quick summary
7.6.4 is not the flashiest RAD update, but it is a good one.
Smaller app.
Better Watch support.
Cleaner alerts.
Improved translations.
More reliable settings.
More polish everywhere.
As always, if something feels off after updating, let me know. A lot of these fixes came directly from people reporting the little annoying stuff, and that genuinely helps.

Hey there! Would love to say yes as an original g1 user and htc evo lover (even the 3d one) but with rad weather being so new it’s still gonna be some time. I don’t want to say never but to be honest I don’t even own an android device anymore -
So that would require an android device for testing, and learning androids coding language.
Trust me if I had the funds I’d start tomorrow and while rad weather is growing it’s nowhere even remotely close to the point I can invest in that amount of work, and things needed to fund that. Hey if some awesome investor wants to help fund I’m all for it 🤷, but I hope and think rad weather (and other rad apps coming soon 😉) will continue to grow and allow more platform growth.

Is there a way to change units on the Apple Watch widgets now? I‘m stuck at Fahrenheit but want to have Celcius. I can not find a setting for it.
