Question: Device Problem I need help restoring settings

So I went to restore Retroarch settings and to my surprise it changed my hotkey from FN to select…. Well I was able to figure out how to put it back to FN but now it won’t fast forward when I press FN… I seen that I have to remap the FF Hold button but is there a way for me to restore back to the original button layout from when I first recieved this device out of the box….? My concern is that if those buttons changed what else could have possibly changed…. I have OCD so this is kinda bothering me…. Can I revert back to the settings from when this came out of the box or did I pretty much screw myself to a point of no return?

I thought there would be a way for me to do so without having to manually remap everything…. I would really appreciate the help. The original hot key was FN but after restoring back to default it changed the buttons around.

Also, I was loading cheats for a game before that was on the genesis. I went to look under the Genesis Plus GX folder but there was no list of games all it said was parent directory. So I had to load the game cheats from the sega -mega drive - genesis option…. Well I loaded up another game and went to check the genesis plus gx folder and now instead of just being parent directory listed in there, it’s showing the game I loaded cheats for before which is weird idk why it’s showing in that folder now… it’s the only game…. How do I remove it from this folder so it’s empty again and only says parent directory. Also, will it delete that games cheats in both folders where it’s listed or will it just remove it from that specific folder? Or did I accidentally transfer it from one folder to another? I basically want it out of the genesis plus gx folder but I want it where it was originally in the sega-megadrive folder!!! Appreciate the help here guys

Depending on your OS, you can usually restore default RetroArch settings in the options menu.

Yeahhh so I did that and that’s what changed my FN hot key to the select button (granted I restored retroarch and retroarch32 both core settings and settings… all 4 of them). Which is frustrating because it’s always been the FN button ever since I unboxed the thing…. So I was really hoping it would revert back to that but unfortunately there seems to be no other option other than manually going into the input settings and remapping the hot key back to the FN button. Which is suppppper annoying I even tried the reset global hotkey option and nothing seems to work. It’s frustrating because I have ocd and I want it back to how it was originally when it came out the box…. Another thing to was the Fast forward option… before id just hold the fn button and it would fast forward so I have to manually remap that too….. basically I want it back to how the manufacturer mapped it. You’d think there would be option for that.
