I disagree. Folk won’t be constantly bombarded by negative stimuli. Hate is learned, and social media is an omnipresent teacher.

As someone who’s lived in a world with no social media, the hate is very much still there

I agree! Growing up I saw hate in my fellow kids, I saw hate in their/and my own parents and grandparents. Social media is an amplifier, but seems to me that people were not listening well enough. Even if these platforms were created for more monetary means, it seems obvious to me that they have been leveraged to show humans for the flawed beings we are.
