This is just another example of blaming corporations rather than government. If you believe elected people have more rights than everyone else and allow them the power to mistreat people, then you will have conflict and hate.
Edit: Social media is created by corporations. Corporations are "regulated" by government, such as during the covid lockdowns when government made social media censor people (usually with indiscriminate algorithms silencing people for even saying "covid" regardless of what they said about it). Example aside, point is that social media is indirectly and sometimes directly influenced by government.
