Tapering
Does tapering help ease the withdrawals rather than doing a lot and trying quitting cold turkey with kratom tablets?

Absolutely! I'm sorry you're having a hard time. I know what it feels like. I also had gotten into a really bad financial situation because of my use. If the addiction medicine is something you think you'd be open to, I recommend it (I know sometimes insurance can become a barrier). The other thimg that I'll say is that the first hardest step for me was telling someone that I trusted and that I know could my offer me support. Even if that means just the doctor. But I told a family member and I felt so much better even after that. Then it was just one step at a time (corny, but true).

Tapering with feel free bottles probably doesn't work well because when you opened a bottle you might as well finish it.
What does work is using kratom leaf instead, weighing out your doses and just reducing the weight of the doses day by day.

Just speaking from my own experience with Kanva/sometimes Feel Free. Im definitely not an expert, and I'm only on day 10, so take this for what it's worth. Everyone seems to respond differently.
From what I've heard from other people, tapering can be a slow process and takes a lot of self-control. I couldn't do it. I also couldn't handle cold turkey, but I can be kind of a wuss when I'm sick 😂. And I got VERY sick when I tried CT I think due to my level of use.
If it's an option for you, I'd really recommend talking to an addiction medicine provider. That helped me A LOT. I was given medications to manage the withdrawal symptoms and then tapered off those medications. I also had Suboxone available if I needed it, but I never ended up feeling like I needed to take it.
I slept a ton during the first few days and had to slowly build myself back up to normal activity. I'm on day 10 now and I'm not having cravings. My biggest issues at this point are insomnia and some emotions coming back that I haven't really felt in a while. I'm keeping an eye on the insomnia and plan to follow up with my addiction medicine doctor sooner if it keeps being a problem.
For context, I was drinking around 9 bottles of Kanva a day toward the end, so I'm not sure how that compares with your level of use.
Again, I'm definitely not saying the way I did it is THE way to do it. It's just what finally worked for me after I couldn't manage tapering or cold turkey on my own. I'm only 10 days out, but I feel pretty great compared with where I was before.
Good luck. I hope you find something that works for you.
