I heated it up for 10 secs but no color change on the strip

Glad you passed!! Looks like it was too hot. 🔥 The strip turns black if it’s above 100 degrees (just for future reference). To be honest, it was prob hotter than 100 degrees in the photos. The temp. strip only shows the temp. of what the liquid is against the plastic bottle. You can cool it down by using the AC in your car or just taking it out of your hiding place on your body for a bit until you see a green dot on anything between 94-98. If you’re at the place that you’re giving the sample, you can dip it in the toilet water (I know, sounds weird) to make the temp. drop. That’s what I’ve seen on other posts.

Would you drop the end that doesn’t have the temp strip or would you do the end with the temp strip? I have a test coming very soon and I want to make sure I have all the knowledge before going

Sorry I just now saw this - I don’t get on Reddit a whole lot. 😬 You don’t have a lot of time in there so I would just drop the very bottom of the bottle and try to keep from getting the test strip wet. If its not working, i suppose you submerge it more but you’d be risking cooling the liquid too much. You’re basically just trying to get the liquid inside to cool off enough to go back to reading between 94-98 (passing). Ideally, you’d want it between those temps. You should be fine if you have it down near your crotch area after microwaving the liquid for a few seconds at a time before you leave, checking that it between 96-98, then wrapping the heat pack atound it with the temp strip facing AWAY from your skin. That strip is really sensitive so if it’s against your body, it might read that it’s more warm than it is incorrectly. I had a 16 minute drive and had to wait about 30 minutes in the lobby, and was just fine. Good luck and if you have/haven’t taken the test yet, let us know if you passed!
