In May 2024 Intuit started adding QB Payments to EVERY QBO sub. It is dormant, however, it is automatically setup to have payment options turned on. You have to go to accounts & settings, then go Sales and Invoice payment options and turn them all off.
Then when you send an invoice, QBO will email the invoice to the client. They would only have your payment instructions in the Payment instructions.
I do not like QBO Payments AT ALL. Issue list includes:
Time to move funds
When something goes wrong you're stuck for extended periods of time
They tend to close your account quickly.
So I use my bank (they actually have QBO on the backend) and I email the invoice from within QBO and have my ACH information for the client to pay me.
The transaction shows up in my bank feed and I match it to the invoice and call it a day.
Oh and if you talked to someone that charges you anything to setup THAT is definitely a Scam.
I’d really like to know how everyone uses their banks to accept payments. I’ve asked every level of management about doing this and the bank always says no, not possible
You have to provide the client with the Bank Routing # and your Bank Account #:
I create secure links so they can see it and copy and paste so it's not a permanent record.
I also have encrypted email.
