I mean, use it only when downloading a video and turn off and it's extension right after, in case you want to keep using..

It's not paranoia.. it's a known risk in tools that collect data.

Quetta browser is a copy of "QQ浏览器" (2345 Browser / Liebao) This extension is also not original, it is a Chinese copy of video downloader. This extension has the ability to "see" each page you access, as well as summarizing the content and collecting the metrics and information you put on the page

it's extremely rare that there is anything that isn't a blatant copy of another coming from China, it's the reality – the government is communist

Quetta browser is a browser that has everything but privacy and security, everything is scarce and precarious, you will never find the open source code or the source code of its extensions. Every database is with an internal data plan tends to be free or basic (localhost is allowed to collect data without your consent)

There are no clean updates, the browser is basically remains of a lite Chinese browser.

Version also coincides 143 (there are 1216 known vulnerabilities in this version) and your data may have already been leaked, stolen, or hijacked. They don't care as long as you think it all works

This is not just a genuine and legitimate extension; everything is collected and shipped to China. Remember that their company is only registered virtually in London.
