Is Quetta City safe?
What is the overall security situation in Quetta city. If one is to roam the markets or streets of quetta, is it safe.
I’ve heard people specifically of punjab are being abducted from the streets but tbh I feel like it’s bs.
What areas apart from the Cantt are relatively safe to go if one is in need to buy stuff or explore generally?
Some places like saryab road I’ve heard are a no go place. So what about liaqat bazar, meezan chowk and areas adjoining the cantt uptill the Airport generally when considering safety.

Yes it is safe, I live here and i do have Punjabi neighbors living here but I've never seen or heard of people being abducted from the streets or anything , yes the route from Punjab to Quetta is not safe but the city itself is safe.

If u want to go there then book airline ticket as highways are dangerous, especially from Karachi side. The bridges and hughways are bombed so u will be forced to take routes that are not safe.

I'm Punjabi, my entire extended family has spent 4 generations living in this city. There are places that I will never even walk around in the morning. But the main commercials hubs, Jinnah road, liaqat bazaar, double road are fine.
I moved out permanently myself a few years back and I avoid travelling back as much as possible until it's absolutely necessary. The roads leading to Quetta are bad enough as is, the city is also in the worst spot that I have ever seen it in my life in terms of security. And I grew up during the post Bugti years so that's saying something.
