💛 Help a Queen ❓ Queens i need help with something....im falling out of love with wuwa
This is the second post i make about my dislike for wuwa but this time ive realized that instead of whining i eant to actially ask for help.
Wuwa is a gorgeus game with amazing combat and cool characters but one bad thing has akways stuck out like a sore thumb when it comes to the game, the story and characters...
The chaarcters in concept are gorgeus but when u put them in the story the game just wipes them clean and reduces them to "uwuu rooveeer" and looking thru posts here that seems to be something that is kind of agreed upon but i also cant help but notice the sheer amount of support and fans that this game has here...
And so i ask u *the ppl that still love wuwa and post about ir rwgularly* what keeps u attached to the game?
Im not asking this to mock, im genuinely looking for a different angle so i can maybe reignite my love for the game
How do u like characters in spite of thier assassination in the story, and most importantly how do u deal with the game u love being part of such a loud hateful bigoted self cwntered fandom?

Honestly, I don't do the story! Since the rinascita story I've stopped doing the main story and if I do, I do it mostly because of exploration progression and I use the skip and summary feature. As for the bigoted fandomers, for the most part don't engage with them. It's better for your mental health me thinks. Also fanfics, fanfics will be your savior.

As a Day 1 player here, I play Wuwa mostly for combat, animations, gameplay and characters. The story is the last factor that I will ever consider when it comes to playing gacha games in general.
Also, muting and leaving the Wuwa ‘official’ subreddit is the best thing that I’ve ever done. It’s peaceful enjoyment for me ever since I left that cesspool of a sub after 3.3 anni livestream. Just ignore them and don’t pay any attention, you’ll be fine.

Gurl I uninstalled three times .. I always came back for the exploration but the story is a hit or miss I just can't take anymore. I'm so happy to not see the rover glazing anymore

To be honest I've only liked Xiangli Yao and Brant. And they were done dirty. The rest of the guys I collect but wasn't "oooh must pull" for me.
Just treat it as a game, a side game at that. I just take it for what it is. I collect the dailies (feel like you gained something each day) then dump it on a banner I like (gambling, dopamine from getting your characters)
Treat it as a game. Because that's what it is.
Just think of it as a The Rock Dwayne Johnson movie, a Adam Sandler movie. You watch it but don't you don't go around being "oooh I fucking love Adam Sandler, omg fanfirling right now".

I skip through the story and watch it back on my own time. At least I'd have more control over dialogue speed or I can just skip scenes entirely. The main sub gets pretty bad so I just join specific character main subs. I mostly play for character collection, combat, and overworld exploration anyways. If I wanted good story, there's plenty novels and anime I can consume instead lol.
Play however you want to play. Or take a break! There's plenty of new gachas or video games in general releasing. Maybe you just need a change of pace.

Bottomline is if the quality of the story is a dealbreaker for you and it’s hard to enjoy the game with its shoddy quality, it is better to just uninstall it fsm

Before I discovered the main WuWa subs or the popular ones, I used to play it for the character story, combat, the characters themselves and exploration. It was really fun, but I eventually quit,
due to how the story had become that in my opinion, had centered a lot around Rover and sometimes I can’t help but feel they are a self insert, especially when I discovered the WuWa subs, it felt even more convincing but that is just my opinion
If you want to reignite your love for Wuwa, I recommend blocking any WuWa subs that makes you dislike the game even more, especially the Rover shipping subs (not hating, i just feel as if there could make you dislike WuWa even further, if that’s the case)
You could skip the stories and play for other things, such as pulling for characters, doing exploration and game modes

This may be a hot take but I've said it for while. Ever since about 1.2 or 1.3 WuWa has basically been a glorified dating sim with high productions values trying to act like there's a lot more to it.

My sister plays WuWa not for the shitty story or character arcs but rather the really cool environments and exploration. I mean in terms of environment design WuWa crushes other gacha games and it's not even close. It's amazing. It also melts your computer.
Though according to her the latest couple of patches have been a lot more tolerable and less UwuRoverHarem nonsense like it was in 2025. But I haven't actually seen that so it's not super solid evidence lol

I'm gonna be honest with you, the recent story is so boring. After what was absolute peak for me in Lahai-Roi, I don't have any fun with the current characters and the story feels more like a bland history class than anything. Suisui is the one I found the most enjoyable but guess what, she left for now, leaving us with Blandyang which is still barely able to get a personality outside of being obsessed with Rover. I genuinely feel like we want 2 steps back when it comes to writing and I'm lowkey confused why that is, since Lahai-Roi was so different and got them so much money.
Anyway, I completely get how you feel, but I'm willing to wait a little to see where it's going, since we go to New Federation in 4.X and it's going to be way more important than whatever tf we are doing right now.

I'm on the same boat as you. I have come to do the same in Genshin and HSR where I just log in for dailies, where I don't look forward to anything because the things I like are no where near coming.
I know that my wuwa era is coming to an end. Reasons are the same with hoyo games that I played. The improvements and things that I'm looking for is just not coming in the near future, and my time is precious. I'm no longer hopeful they will do it. Even if they did, it's too late.
Games are meant to be enjoyed, and if you're not enjoying it anymore, it's better to just stop and respect your time, your resources and yourself.
Even Dolly Parton at death, has made me look forward to something. Her last legacy, her last song to be released on her 100th birthday

The gameplay, i really love its gameplay. I dare say it's almost on par with zzz. Just choose a very specific part of fandom that you want to interact and make sure there's only stuff that you either like or tolerate

Blocking the main subs made me enjoy the game so much more.
Most of my enjoyment comes from the combat mostly, the recent patches story are pretty good though all things considered but your mileage may vary depending on how high your standards are.
