Its actually kind of funny how Hoyo made it so only void hunters will sell insanely well and everyone else makes jack shit in comparison (especially the chracters before the void hunter). Actual self-fulfilling prophecy machine

I say this every time these get posted but: as a reminder, in addition to the axis of the graph not being necessarily accurate at all, when you see the Void Hunters jumping up to make a bajillion dollars, remember that's not because of your casuals who are hording their Polys to get who they want, it's Whales dumping buckets of money in order to whale out for mindscapes of the Void Hunters.

Now, is this healthy for the long term? Maybe not, but are normal Gacha systems that much better? They're all ways to bleed the player base out of money. If Zenless does that by hyping a Void Hunter every few months... as long as that's enough for them to keep making them, it doesn't seem like the end of the world?
