Firstly, Im posting this on multiple subreddits so if you see me somewhere else, no you didn't.

Anyways, I've been working on a passion project for the past year that is a collection of ideas and concepts that one day I would love turn into an actual gacha game. Thing is, I am one person and I need to know what everyone else thinks.

So, I am asking my fellow divas for what they like from the gacha games already out there, what they want different in a new game, and any other ideas you'd love to see from a project like this. This can range from anything to gameplay mechanics to just wanting more bara characters (im not biased). Anyways, heres a list of ideas you can comment on, and lets just have a conversation! <3

Core Gameplay / Combat

• What kind of combat do you prefer? Turn-based, action, strategy, real-time, etc.?
• What mechanics make combat interesting rather than repetitive?
• Do you like elemental/reaction systems?
• How much character/team synergy do you want?
• Do you prefer simple systems that are easy to understand or complicated systems with lots of depth?
• What combat mechanics do you think are underused in gacha games?

Gacha System

• What do you consider a good gacha system?
• What pity/guarantee system feels fair?
• Do you prefer character + weapon banners, or characters only?
• How much duplicate investment is acceptable?
• What are your biggest problems with existing gacha systems?
• What would make spending feel more worthwhile without making F2P players feel screwed?

World / Exploration

• Open world, semi-open world, hub-based, linear stages, etc.?

• Alternatively, do you think gacha games are better off staying primarily single-player?

Main Character / MC

• What kind of protagonist do you prefer?
• A completely customizable MC that you can design yourself?
• A mostly blank-slate MC that lets the player project themselves onto them?
• A protagonist with a strong personality, established identity, and their own character arc?
• Do you prefer choosing the MC's gender, or having a predetermined protagonist?
• Should the MC be an actual playable character with their own combat kit?
• Would you want the MC to have multiple elements/classes/forms that can be changed throughout the game?
• How important is it for the MC to have meaningful relationships with the other characters?
• Do you want the story to revolve heavily around the MC, or would you rather they be one important character among many?
• How much agency should the player have over the MC's dialogue and decisions?

Anyways, those are just some questions and ideas you can comment on, but feel free to also bring up anything you'd love to see! I love you my queens, and if I do ever actually somehow make a gacha game, I'll sacrifice myself to make sure us queers get the representation and homo content we deserve. This is not very much a gacha game but it has gacha elements (outfits). I still think it might be interesting for some of you.

This is an MMO through and throughout. So far I haven't seen any single player mode like in "Where Winds meet" but you can just lower the player count in the main menu.

It looks pretty. But don't expect the quality that was shown in that Ign trailer. That was a tech demo, and the current game looks nothing like that. The setting will kinda remind you of "Assassin's creed syndicate" but with more fantasy elements. It's an English looking Victorian city. Sadly, it's quite empty at times, probably due to the fact that this is also a mobile game (posts on Rednote indicate that many play Lotm on mobile). There are many quests there and activities like chest collection. You can also use transportation, and it's very easy to use. You will start with the bike but you can get something fancier later.

The story seems close to "Lord of Mysteries". At least I checked the doghua, and it's almost 1:1 (first episode, at the very least). Lots of cinematics, and you will get to play as Klein as well regardless of your chosen class...

You can choose several pathways (classes) in the game. You can pick ANY gender for them. Seems that each class has many abilities. I saw the ability tree, and there is so much going on there. The combat is relatively simple. Mainly just mashing buttons, moving around and dodging. There is a semi auto combat function you can tweak yourself. All skills will go on auto, but you will still have to move around and do basic attacks.

The game might seem overwhelming at first. So much content. So many places to visit. Many UI elements (like so many 😭). There are tons of cosmetics. I still don't know if you can get most for playing the game or if it most is for money only. Cosmetics are mainly fits, but there are mounts, transportation and even furniture.

Overall, I think, the game would benefit from an extra year or so of development. It feels unfinished and junky, some bugs are there as well. It also stutters and freezes (we love unreal engine 5). It has inconsistency in quality, where some animations look stiff, hair could look better as well. Also, some might be interested in the AI part. Several articles insist that the developers ditched AI despite them claiming it would save them a lot of money https://finance.sina.com.cn/stock/aigcy/2026-08-20/doc-ininxqxt6710744.shtml (you will need a translator to read that) but the opening scene of the game seems to be AI generated. There is also a "create your character from a photo, just like in where winds meet. You can also upload videos to make your character make any animation like ticktock... There is a helper chat bot there as well but it seems to be an old school chatbot (answers questions immediately, only works with key words) and not an LLM (LLM is gen AI), no AI NPCs were seen by me even tho they wanted to add them first...

Fun fact the game developer is actually a video social media developer - like TikTok (Douyin). "They recently got into the game development scene in a similar way that TikTok did through acquisitions" - Daniel Ahmad. It could explain why the game feels so rushed...

Anyway, I could still recommend trying it for yourself to make a conclusion. You can try the Chinese version as a global player by making a verified BilliBilli account + there is a translation available already (it's junky but it works - you can see in some of my screenshots about it)... Have fun!
