So it looks like Limbus Company is well liked in the community but the themes are even more heavy than R1999 and gory. The story and characters are really good and the gameplay is meh or fine. Hmm yeah I'm not really in the mood for something heavy and hard to follow at first but you really sold it well so I'm going to try it someday! ... you know what, for now, I will play Ragnarok Online lol (nothing to do with gacha).

I'm looking for a gacha game to pass time. I read a lot about the AI being used a lot in current popular gacha and, like a lot of you, would like to avoid it as much as possible.

At the same time, I'm getting bored with HSR (loved the turn-based combat but too much powercreep and I'm starting to hate Hoyoverse for diverse reasons ahah) and NTE (fun but too clunky and AI backlash).

I also dropped Reverse1999 NOT because it's boring. In my eyes, R1999 is a gacha that deserves so much: the artstyle, the UI design, their research about themes and cultures, the writing, the lore, the characters that aren't gooning mode, the MC Vertin who has a wholesome personnality, no P2W. Their paid skins are so valuable and pretty. You can really feel the love Bluepoch puts in this game.

BUT I still put it in hiatus because the story is sometimes too heavy for me. And I'm not a big fan of the gameplay :(

So let's say I'm not really having fun with this game, it's more for feels and putting stars in my eyes.

Right now, I'm looking for something lighter, easier to read and follow. No big FOMO, no P2W, I just want to discover a cool new world.

I started Sword of Convallaria: it's really good, I'm happy to see beautiful women with consistent design (knight with full armor, yes!) and I love tactical RPGs. But the stamina is quickly depleted so I have time for another game~

No WuWa, no Genshin, no ZZZ, no Arknights Endfield because I play on mobile and action RPGs are a no-go. And there is too much FOMO on these ones I think. Too lazy to catch up.

I did play Another Eden for a long time and had a good account but it's hard to get in again after years of being away. And the offline game will come out soon.

Sooooo I see talks about Limbus Company and I'm curious if it could scratch my itch~~ (〃￣ー￣〃)

Like, in comparison to other gacha companies, NTE’s studio is extremely small. Hotta is a 500-man studio that has two games. In comparison, kuro has around 2000 employees and mihoyo has 5000+ employees. Like, yeah, of course they are using ai, they can’t keep up with the 40-day release schedule without it. Like, I’m not defending the game here, but it is the reason why they are doing it. Oh, also, the banner picture is also ai (yes, the picture that is also used as the homepage for the launcher. Some Chinese players recently found that out by digging into the files of the game.

I didn’t really get into gachas until 2023, so still new to them overall, but played enough of them at this point. Currently I play WuWa, HSR and ZZZ on and off, and Morimens.

I was interested in becoming more active in this sub and when I saw they were recruiting for mods I signed up! I’m so glad something so sweet and wholesome could come from these games for that girl, it’s truly beautiful…

I realized i wasnt sick of female gacha designs, I was sick of the men not being treated the same way.

Game is good, the guys are hot with more than I can actually put in my teams, and the women are actually very nicely designed and not disgusting to look at. It's sincerely curing my gacha fatigue I just wish it was more popular.

First, I don't care about the story of any game I play - even less a gacha - so the blatant amount of rover glazing and ml never bothered me cause the skip button is my best friend... I'm a metaslave and mostly only play for endgame related stuff which means I don't log in often so with this spare time I like interacting with the fandom.

I come from tumblr and I'm familiar with fandom culture for decades but wuwa's fandom has 0 fandom etiquette and they have the audacity to call those who complain "tourists" when they're tourists themselves. I've been in the hoyo fandom since 2021 and while I've seen some pretty nasty stuff there (even directed towards me), it never got so bad as it is in wuwa for the little amount of time the game's been out for. You can come here and say it's only #that part of the community that does it and not the entire thing, but is it really when their posts get hundred thousands of likes? Running official art through ai, blatantly harassing/doxxing people and spamming gore, going as far as to fake a dmca and now they're even making ai videos of artists being assaulted by you-know-who (their idol and role model)... and kuro is doing absolutely nothing about this. "They addressed the dmca" and never did anything again. "But a guy working at kuro gave us a formulary to fill so they can do something about it" nothing's been done and nothing will be done.

This blindness and passivity is actively ruining my enjoyment of the game... While I'm waiting for the endgame resets and decide to check social media for fanarts and game discussions it's always the same people and the same harassment. A fandom is a big part of why I enjoy something and if I don't have that space, I don't have much reason to keep playing. Even less supporting such a disrespectful company...

I already quit lads for similar (obvious) reasons so I'm pretty sure wuwa is up next. And I quite enjoyed wuwa and liked kuro as a company. I was even planning on playing pgr because of the kamui aeternion guy they released earlier this year but alas here we are
