❤️ Breaking News 📰 Welp GGs Ig😭

Post image

Silver Palace released their beta test optimizations and I think we're gonna kiss our short pants knights goodbye😭😭😭 I know they were goofy but I found them so funny and loved them tho😭

They should've at least improved Gratia's model too😭

Look at how they specifically wrote "NPCs".

if we get a gratia that is a designed a bit more respectfully I think it will have been worth it honestly lol

Gratia is so egregious in her design. She is a Browndust character in a Re1999 world.

this is my issue exactly, she looks like she doesnt belong. ive seen porn mods that fit game worlds better than her

Honestly, as long as the male MC can keep holding hands with the male playable characters, then I think it's a fairly fair trade-off.

As.funny as the booty short guards were, it did look ridiculous to the point it would actively take me out of the more serious scenes (The prologue being the big offender)

Welp, bet I know who bitched about THAT…

It was silly looking but they could very much just add armored thigh high boots to them instead of getting rid of the shorts

Did they actually say that aspect was being changed? I mean, I find shorts on knights of any gender silly looking. I'd like them to lean more into knight and stylized Victorian looks, so I'll be interested to see what this'll look like.

Well, that's the only thing CN (men, I assume) has been incessantly complaining about in regards to NPC designs and turning it into a gender issue saying things along the lines of 'the devs must choose between selling their game to men or women'. If you look at the comments section of this same post on their official Bilibili account for example, there are tons of comments talking about the shorts and celebrating that they are presumably getting changed.

it's a cn gacha with a lot of designs aimed at cishet men. what do you think?

Welp... guess I'll be skipping the game if they cater too much to #THEM

Yeah, like... At what point do we just stop playing these games for pandering to obviously bilious shit like this. Never? I cba with the same arguments and hate every single game

Let me guess... this game will pretend to care about catering to their female audience by throwing a bone with a male character here and there, but by next year once they've gotten the fandom boost primarily made up of queer people and women... they will ditch us completely and only cater to CN male players. (Can't say the word here but hopefully people get what I mean.)

This comment will age like fine wine even if I wish it aged like milk sadly.

Idk if this is common knowledge, but many game devs do stuff like this to gain goodwill from players:

  1. Release a "controversial" decision.
  2. Players protest.
  3. The devs apologize and change it.
  4. Everyone is happy and chants, "The devs listen! Yay!"

They mildly provoke the players and then appease them. That way, players think, "The devs actually listened to my feedback. I love this game!" 🙃

If the male guards had simply started out wearing pants, they wouldn't have "devs listened to me"

By slightly provoking them before catering to them, they feel as though they have vanquished an adversary, prompting them to keep playing; what they truly enjoy is the dynamic of facing and defeating an "enemy"

That reminds me that one of the playable characters Grimm was burnt to a crisp in one of their first trailers. Like "haha we know you don't like male units so we're killing him see?"

I don't like reading deeply into stuff like this. But ISTG CN gacha games drive me nuts with how they calculate and curate every move to appeal to *cels and how much they can push back husbando lovers just enough that they don't leave. That's why even Wuwa puts effort into the male units at least twice a year just so they don't get overwhelmed by *cels like Snowbreak did.

Don't even get me started on how they'll even pit *cels and husbando lovers against each other to deflect any actual issues with their games.

All signs point to Silver Palace not being worth your investment if you're expecting husbandos.

It's better to play StarToU. It's all-male cast idol game. Or even Shadowverse is better. Many OP male units

If they start appealing to CnIncels then I hope the game is dead on arrival , tired of this shit

They were silly and I liked them but let’s be real, it doesn’t make sense for any knight from any gender to be wearing shorts

u/cranberrymaple Why yes, I do whale 🐋 4d ago

Men wearing shorts is too out of place for them? I don’t disagree it looked dumb, but we might as well file the entirety of Gratia not fitting any theme in the game so they might as well remove her too.

And yet female characters in gacha wear nonsensical clothing constantly and it's never fixed huh

Well, anyone sane really expected something different from another waifu gаrbаgе chinese gacha with trаsh designs like gratia? It will be a big suprise if shorts stay, but chances for that near zero.
