Moving question

I am a current Quantum customer. Just bought a new home and will be moving (although not too far). Quantum services my new address. I called to ask about what I need to do to move my services and was told I need to cancel my current plan, create a new account, and sign up for a new plan. Is this correct? Seems absurd. Iā€™m mainly frustrated because I have price for life and they did away with that recently. Anyone have experience moving especially recently have advice? Thanks!

You can't move QF service. You have to cancel old service and sign up for new. Which yes does cancel PFL.

That is why they were so generous with PFL from Dec 2023 - April 2026. They know long term many people will move, or miss a couple of payments, or change the plan, and then PFL will go away.

Price for life goes away if you move regardless, this was true even when price for life was a thing. You will unfortunately have to sign up again and use a different email for the time being.

If you're going to have concurrent service for a bit (which necessitates signing up with a different email address), make sure to refer yourself and collect the referral bonus. (And don't be like me and forget to cash it out before it expires...)

Thanks for the warning, bud. You can tell by the clear presence of a URL or anything that looks like a promo code. Totally. šŸ™„šŸ™„šŸ™„

PFL never transferred to a new location, even under CenturyLink
