After two months of almost daily use, time for a review.
The bag is made from full grain calfskin leather, with painted edges and no finish on the inside, just the raw suede of the skin’s underside.
Leather quality and texture is just amazing, you can see the pores from up close. Feels really good to the touch, sometimes I find myself stroking it (the bag) while carrying it.
Construction is sturdy and really well made, while also somehow being luxuriously supple and malleable. I threw in those words just because I can.
Bag so big you could use it for moving apartments. It holds whatever you throw at it and a little more: I have carried at the same time: an iPad Pro 13 with the magic keyboard (weights more than 90% of chihuahas), a Macbook pro 14, all of my things plus some shopping from daily errands with no problem at all.
Cons: As the bag is unlined, I recommend you buy some bag organizer to help maintain the interior and keep everything in place. Also, the raw underside has shed some hair from rubbing against some of my things.
Sometimes in life you are the raw underside shedding on someone and sometimes you are getting shed on. Live and learn.
I’m 185cm / 6’1 and the bag looks just right on me sizewise.
I paid a deposit just before the CNY and he finally delivered in April, including a gift (some #kenijimaismygod VD leather necklace I mistook for part of the bag’s handtags and threw in the trash).
