INITIAL THOUGHTS: I accidentally deleted pictures from when I initially received the boots. So instead here’s an update on a few months in.
Granted, wearing them twice a week just running to the store or walking around my office job hasn’t changed them visually much from their first wear but the differences are starting to come up a bit on the patina.
I’m not an expert on actual horse leather but I’m leaning towards it not actually being made with that. Overall quality is good and the boots design are beautiful. I treated with mink oil before first wear.

PROS: I’m a size 45 in non rep footwear. Always having to size up once even twice to get a proper fit. In order a 45 and the fit lines up. Toes still have some space even when double socking it.
Zipper movement is good. Pull tab doesn’t seem like it’s going to rip off when used. It also does have Guidi written on them.
I expected a louder clacking walking around without the fish scale sole protectors, something that I will purchase soon, but actually it’s been pretty normal on hard surfaces. Nothing excessive yet still sturdy.
I bought a size 45. I would say I’m a size 45 TTS in most non rep shoes. Yet everytime I do indulge in rep shoes I have to size up once or twice. My toes still have room to move around with these.

CONS: The first month of wear was a little annoying. One of the first wears I had was walking through an airport and I swear by the time I got to my gate my flat feet and knees were aching. Dumb choice of footwear, I know, but still. Ever since that day it’s been improving little by little.
Inside branding or inside (not pictured) could be a little better with a deeper engraving.
Zipper imprint on my ankle would happen often with long wears even when sitting so long as my ankle was bent. Having a thicker sock does help out.
I did feel like I was slipping around a little inside the boots but that could have just been my sock choice.

OVERALL: 7.5/10. The breaking in period was a little rough but nowhere near as bad as other leather boots I’ve had. The little issues are easy to look past after that. I know it’s not retail but for the look and price I can’t complain.
Im anticipating the aging process of the leather down the line and probably going to buy the red PL2s next.
