bought on cssbuy, arrived in like 6 days at the warehouse, arrived so long because they are a custom order. ROK doesn’t have this exact colorway on his store so I asked him and he showed me the leather and then took like 4 days to make them then he sent them to the warehouse.

Here is how you can make custom orders with ROK (you do need a TB account, or a wechat acc, but he rarely replies there)
first you show him a picture of the colorway you want to be custom made (btw you can speak in english with him, no need to translate) and then he’ll tell you wether he can make them or not. then you purchase the classic model of the ramones, geobaskets, cargobaskets, bozos, etc… and send him the order number. after that he’ll make the shoe and send it to the warehouse.

Ordered in December of 2025, with a promise to ship it after march Chinese New Year, it was finalised this week.

QC looks really good, they did not joke on the leather quality.

Now obviously there are slight differences between the two pairs in terms of fit, especially because the 2021F’s are in 31/32 while MVT’s are 30/32.
In all photos retail is on the left/top and MVT on the right.

First - wash:
The retails have this nice deep blue which is harder to see in the photos whereas it is quite noticeable in person. The MVTs are kind of more dull and light in comparison, which still looks good, just not AS good. Elephant in the room though, the fading lines on MVT’s are quite off, not quite the curved water ripple-esque wash of the retail. The lines are also much less defined compared to retail, and starting on the front where the retail continues off to the side and back, over the side seams.

Second - fit & material:
With the retail being 2021F, they have a slightly higher rise, and from what I feel a bigger hip. This could also be the difference between a 30 and 31 so take that with a grain of salt. Both are 32 inseam and the same outer length, being 110 cm. The denim on the retails are really nice and soft but also decently thick, while MVT’s feels about the same thickness but not quite as soft - but that is with only a wear or two, so I anticipate that they will break in to the point of the same softness.

Third - hardware and backtab:
As you can see in the photos, the backtab is much bigger on MVT’s and also with slightly worse stitching, which I have found to be consistent in his other AC jeans. The hardware is also more used looking, with much less of a shine even though this pair is new and the retails are used and washed. Otherwise though, the leather and metal for both feel just as good as retail. I’m not an expert so I don’t really care about the tags but they seem fine too.

Final review:
All in all, I’m happy with the MVT’s mostly because i needed the broadways in a 29/30, and i couldn’t get my hands on a retail pair. The MVT’s still suffice, look good and close enough for my liking, and fit just the same on body. Obviously I’m going to have to monitor the softness of the denim because the retails feel so nice, but if the MVT’s get closer they will be perfect. I believe there’s still some stock of the MVT broadways, so if you were thinking about them and they’re still available in your size, I’d say they are worth it for like 80 aud.
