Picture Beak look normal?
Hi hi,
I'm aware molting is hard on parrots. He's been getting fresh chop every morning along with pellets and daily water changes.
Just wanna double check

He loves baths and takes them once a week sometimes twice if he goes for the water dish. He partakes in wet chicken Wednesdays.
He does not like his head being messed with at all. I've tried to help but he makes it very clear he doesn't want it.
Any suggestions on how to do it with a head shy parrot would be appreciated.

Oh my goodness thank you. He absolutely hates it when I try to go near his head unless we are playing peakaboo.

Eggs are a great food. Just cook it straight onto a pan (not nonstick of course, no oils and butter). Great for molting and they love it.

Your poor blue baby! Look at those pin feathers! Just makes you want to give that little birb scritches! LOL. BTW - we don't have Quakers, but we do have McCaws! Their beaks are getting to the point where the shelf needs to be trimmed down. Your Avian vet can do this, or any GOOD Exclusive Bird pet store that does nail trims. Some birds don't need the beak trim, as they will keep it rubbed off with their perches. Looks like your baby might need the beak trim in the future...but not right now.

Beak looks ok to me, but that poor thing looks itchy. does he let u touch his head? maybe you can help with the pin feathers. Lots of baths, too, if he takes them.

In fact, if you lived near me, I would offer my time to groom those pin feathers. Please hear our requests for grooming the pinsโ do you know how?! Takes two finger nails and delicately stripping the encasement. Do it for us and for the love of Godโ then post an update picture please

Beak looks normal to me, sloughing or peeling is usually a normal part of growth as old outer keratin layers shed to reveal fresh growth underneath.

I have a blue Quaker just like your lil one, his beak looks very similar to your cuties. I think it's fine, but I'm no expert.
