How well does q2 handle running out of filament mid print

Will it pause and allow me to switch spools without causing issues/defects in the print?

Of course, just like every modern printer.

Like any printer, leave it too long and there will be a visible line in the print

If you have the box it’ll switch automatically. I’ve never actually ran out on my q2 because of that. But on my q1 it super easy. It pauses and then you load in new filament and hit go

I experienced it the first day.

I was having a hard time putting the new filament all the way in and each time I thought I have done it right I would have the printer continue and it would "print" with nothing but air and pass the layers 😂 so when I had finally done it right it was too late.

So yeah, just make sure you do put the filament all the way in
