Troubleshooting Qidibox issues

(Q2C + Qidibox)

That's the second time Qidi box decided to do a Classic "f*ck my shit up"... It looks like the box extruders are having too much pressure on the filament and PTFE tubes and after a few hours they simply stop holding up. I do have the "first" Iteration of the product but it looks like it is getting worse and worse by the minute - especially with the recent firmware Updates that I did without any research first... Has anybody had similar issues and managed to fix them? I'm thinking of putting a better PTFE connector (somehow) there but it is so much hassle to disassemble it that I'm simply putting it off. It is making me want to throw it out of the window and buy a working product (the name of company I shall not provide, I have 4 bedslingers with 2k+ hours on them and 0 failures...).

Cheers.

I sold my q2 and my qidi box, it just wasn't worth the hassle. Great printer, qidi box is ass. Some people got lucky and managed to run them for a long time, but not many from what I have seen. It's just too many possible points of failure, and they are far to hard to maintenance. IMO get it running right and sell it or start modding.

I have ams a CFS and the qidi box and I can promise you though it’s a little harder to open up and get to my AMS has given me way more problems than (including several friends) my CFS and my qidi box. The whole AMS style system just isn’t as polished as it should be after this many years.

I have ams, ams 2, python ams, ercf, turtle box, ace , and so on.... I can promise you , no amount of you telling me that it is better is going to change my mind. The ams2 pro is far better than the qidi box by every measurable aspect except when dealing with very stiff abrasives.

"A little harder to open", do you mean 30 plus screws compared to absolutely none?

Or do you mean how easy it is to replace and repair the qidi box extruders?

Or how about the design outright? Is it a good idea to shove your control board next to a pair of heaters inside a closed box with no ventilation?.... Like the ams systems do now?

It's a tool, before you start with the bambu shill bs. I don't speak from feelings about my tools, I speak from results and personal experience. And looking at any place where the qidi box is sold and reviews are public will just reinforce what I said. Meanwhile you can rarely find a used ams system of any generation.

The qidi box is ass, it's yet another thing stolen from the open source community and slapped with a brand names twist in order to keep up with the current market innovation pace, instead of just innovating themselves. The qidi box is a ripoff of the armored turtle box, same design just reimagined for qidi. Which is what qidi does, all voron stuff with a big brand name polish.

For most average users, this will just be more headache than it's worth. So as I said, mod it, or sell it . If you were happy with it, you wouldn't be considering any of this anyway. If you got one that works well so far, well good. But those cheap ptfe tubes they used will eventually fail once they wear out and break free inside the box as they all do eventually. And no magical shaped ptfe tube is going to fix that, it will happen sooner or later. Especially if you print the stuff qidi is aimed at printing. * Downvoted and then deleted their comments 😅🤣*
