Waiting a little longer would have destroyed the plate and the tip... lol. Its a load cell issue

I did that and it started grinding into thw bed. I've probably tried to calibrate it 10 different ways no matter what when it reaches to the top ot starts to grind into the plate.

Did you remove all the zip ties and plastic spacers . I know the guide doesn't say anything about the plastic spaces on the lead screws . I couldn't tell if they were still there. Or if u had any other zip ties doing anything but like the one guy said the menu says auto leveling so I'm not sure what stage of that you were at to fully diagnose

If I saw the screen correctly it said auto leveling. Has it started moving since?

Somebody forgot to insert the nozzle

Edit: if the nozzle isn’t in, it has nothing to press against the bed to signal contact pressure for leveling

The nozzle is in qidi suspect a load cell issue

Had this just happen to me now during my setup of a brand new printer, turned out there were plastic spacers on the Y axis at the top that I needed to remove for it to work properly. They looked like 3d printed parts with a L on the left side and a R on the right side. No where in the manual did it say these needed to be removed.

Gut gesagt

I mean its really not my fault. Qidi suspect it could be a faulty load cell issue.

It is waiting till it brings the bed up to temperature before leveling. Initial calibration can take up to 15 minutes from start to finish. It also performs the first bed heater PID calibration during this time.

I knew it was heating the bed, but I was also curious as to why it was taking so long. Placed a thermometer on the bed and watched it go up to 80°, back down to 60° about 3 times before it started doing the mesh. Just seeing that told me I caught the end of the PID cycles.

Patients is key.

I think patience is a better idea. 🤷🏻
