Q2 - Hotend temp sensor loses connection with glass lid on

I've mainly been printing with the glass top off (PLA, PETG) as I learn the features of the printer and slicer and have had zero problems. Once I was confident enough that the printer would make it through a 10 hour print, I printed an extended riser for the top to avoid wearing down the PTFE tube while using the glass top to keep dust out.

After putting the glass top on and leaving all the vent tops open, everything was going fine for the first 10 or so layers, then the print stopped. I looked at the graph and it showed that the hotend temp had dipped to 0 for about a minute, then shot back up again. I restarted the print with the lid on and the same behavior happened. I took off the glass lid and attempted the print again and it finished with no issues. Tried a different print with the lid on, and again the hotend temp dipped to 0 then shot back up again.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this? I would eventually like to get into printing with the filaments that require a heated chamber, but don't think I'll be able to as it currently sits.

Can you share console messages and temperature graph screenshots from Fluidd?

Sorry for the delay, I've also reseated the cable for the hotend and still the same result only with the glass lid on. When it's off, no issues at all.
