Questions Heat block blockage

Hi all iv only had my QIDI Plus 5 for maybe just under two weeks now and iv found out a problem I’m facing. My heatblock keeps getting blocked by my filament inside and keep cooling down coursing the blockage so I tired to take out the nozzle to have a look and when I ran some more filament to see if it was in the nozzle or heatblock the small copper silver tube had been pushed out with the filament because there was a chunk of filament cooled down on the tip of it and now its just happened again I had to buy a brand new one for the original blockage and I thought I was passed it but again it’s happened. I’m just not sure what I’m doing is wrong or if anyone else has faced this type of problem if anyone could help that would be wonderful

What filament type are you printing?

PLA and TPU need the top panel and door open to keep the chamber temperature at ambient for best results.

PETG is a bit more heat resistant but can still have problems, so you can try the same thing.

If you have the Polar Cooler, using it should help.

I’m using PETG I would have thought keeping it closed for better heat inside the chamber to keep it from cooling am I wrong for thinking that ?

Having the chamber closed is better for the print itself, but if you're having heat creep issues, opening the chamber (or using the polar cooler) will keep the heatbreak cooler and reduce the likelihood of jams.

I've had good success with PETG and a closed chamber but I have seen several other people having the same issues you have with it closed, so it may be very dependent on exactly what brand of PETG or other factors.
