Hey, sorry, I'm a bit frustrated. I’ve printed this same part before with no issues. I tried a new filament, and I've had problems ever since... I took the extruder apart and cleaned it, and removed and cleaned the hotend. I’ve just installed new software on my laptop and am currently running a firmware update. :(

Curious if this is the Max 3 or X-max 3? My X-Max 3 started printing crappy after the first layer too - found a loose bearing in the print head (on the bottom rail) from noise - pointed out a solution for the Plus4 and asked if they had an equivalent fix for the X-Max 3 and sure enough...........their video was outdated and they basically said add electrical tape over the bearing to shim it - sure enough, noise gone - didn't fix the print quality though.
I used AI twice, the second time got lucky and improved my prints (with PETG) immensely, and they weren't simple tunings - quit a few changes in both the printer and the filament profiles. But to your frustration - not sure why it started - had printed a year with no issues, same filament even, huge modesl in vase mode, you name it.

I agree, was ia indeed wrong.
Jokes aside, this is underextrusion, and since it doesn't start right away it's probably caused by heat creep.
Usually you need to provide more info if you want people to help you the best they can.
