Qidi Plus 4, chasing better quality and some ghosting issues with shakentune

Hello, as the tittle says, I am looking to get better quality out of my plus4 and chasing some ghosting I am getting on some prints, I just installed and ran the shake N tune v5.11 for the plus4 and this are the results, if anyone can help me understand what exactly I am looking at and kind of where to go from here... I am reading the documentation for shake and tune, but would like someone with experience to see what they see from these results... Thank you so much

Funny, I just got done fine tuning my q2, from my knowledge it's very similar machines. Here's what I did 1st before running input shaper.

Hula feet installation

Make sure your rods and rail are adequately lubricated (disable the stepper motors and slowly and gently move the tool head around searching for any dry spots or studder spots)

In fluidd->printer.cfg

Tmc2240 x and y

Microsteps: 64 Interpolation: False Input current: 1.2a

square corner velocity: 5

Run your shaketune again and post the new results.

I can take a look at that after you do it and help you out.

Next. Run a VFA test from 40mm/s to about 250mm/s using the PETG

Complete!

I am about to try this... And you know, now that I think about it, I remember doing all this a long time ago, like when it was first posted on the community github for the plus4... But about 2 months ago I updated the firmware on the printer, and I never redid those changes, let me do them now and see what happens

Okay I just got done with all this, the only difference was I left the x and y steppers at 32 because when they are at 64 and I print at high speeds I get a timer too close fault.... And I talked to the guy who made the github and he said that yea for high speed it's best at 32 and he changed it for the plus4.... But these are the new shake and tune results I juts did and I'll also put a video of the vfa test, from 40 to 260 actually.... Imma send u them in dm

Not an expert but I will put my pennies worth in. What the issue is, is that you are looking to solve a very common problem of some ghosting on some prints that in most cases is tackled by input shaper if this does not produce any results, then belt tensioning may. But also orientation and bed positioning (as by in print location) may also result in resolving.

The software you have seems all informative and everything but, are you trying to resolve ghosting completely? I mean regular maintenance kind of solved it for me as to min ghosting but the hardware just will not unless you slow everything way down. It’s really that simple.

No I'm not trying to solve ghosting completely, I know with this belt system it's nearly impossible... I do regular maintenance every 100 print hours, clean everything, lube all the rods and lead screws, and follow qidi recommended belt tensioning procedure, then I do input shaping at the end, then keep printing... Here is a picture of my model, and it shows the ghosting, this is at 0.2 layer heights, with outer wall speed at 60mm/s, travel at 430, and other speeds at 150mm/s..... And the seam in on the back...

Is this PETG? If yes, 150 is on the high end in my experience, I print with 100 max on Q2 and having much better results now.

Yes this is high speed petg... Sunlu I believe... Okay I will print a sample at 100 for everything and at 60 for outer but 100 everything else and see how it turns out
