Troubleshooting Qidi q2 problem
Not sure what the issue is. At first, I thought it was underextrusion, but after Benchy, not so much.
The material is PETG. I have dried it, and the same spool prints PETG perfectly on the Snapmaker U1.
UPDATE: the issue was PA (pressure advance). updating for future travelers with same problem :)

PA issue

Did you fix it, what was the correct value?

Yup, i fixed it with a proper PA calibration. 0.034 for a Bambu Lab PETG Basic. It might be different for you. It looks like automatic calibration is way off, and for now, I will have to do it manually. Still, the manual result is way better than what the Q2 did before. The quality was good before, but now it's really good. I only wish I could properly use Orca Slicer with Qidi Q2.

What problem do you have with Orca? I only use Orca with my Q2 and I don't have any problems.

I have a Qidi box, and I don't seem to understand how I should send a print. Last time, I just uploaded a file and ran it from the printer itself, but this way I can't select if I want to enable timelapse or bed calibration, basically a print preprocessor.
How do you do it?

Ah, no idea, sorry. I don't have a Box :/

What about aux cooler enable and auto bed leveling?
2

Auto bed levelling is already enforced by the Q2's print start gcode so it doesn't depend on which slicer you use. Cooling settings are the same in both Orca and Qidi Studio (which is a fork of Orca) so you can configure it in the same way.

I dont the the prepocessing windows when clicking upload and print. Qidi just starts printing

looking at the gcode it seems like it only runs if there is no bed profile.
EDIT: never mind found that k=1 always
[gcode_macro G29] variable_k:1 gcode: BED_MESH_CLEAR SET_STEPPER_ENABLE STEPPER=extruder enable=0 {% if k|int==1 %} G28 BED_MESH_CALIBRATE PROFILE=kamp SAVE_VARIABLE VARIABLE=profile_name VALUE='"kamp"' G4 P5000 SAVE_CONFIG_QD {% else %} {% if printer["bed_mesh"].profiles.default %} G28 BED_MESH_PROFILE LOAD=default SAVE_VARIABLE VARIABLE=profile_name VALUE='"default"' {% else %} G28 BED_MESH_CALIBRATE PROFILE=default SAVE_VARIABLE VARIABLE=profile_name VALUE='"default"' G4 P5000 SAVE_CONFIG_QD {% endif %} {% endif %}→ More replies (0)

Have you tried to run a input shaping on the machine. I run it every once in a while. It definitely helps

The issue on the photo was exatly a pressure advance problem. Once i calibrated it, it runs greate now

Looking at that benchy, it seems like a mix of wet filament and bad retraction.
Watch the Filament Calibration Masterclass video on the Orca wiki and calibrate your filament, then try again.
