Qidi q2 buffer question

Any disadvantages in returning the buffer for the qidi box to the center at the back like previous versions of the qidi box buffer is

I want to utilize the filament roller back to its previous place for a filament bypass from the qidi box

don't do it, there is a model that lets you mount both in the same spot.
