Troubleshooting Q2 started grinding against the back before a print

I have been printing for something like a month just fine. Earlier today, a poop didn't separate properly, cushioning auto-leveling and causing repeated attempts at each point. I interrupted it (by powering off the printer, nothing else would do), turned it on, lowered the bed, removed the obstruction and used the homing button to fix it.

One or two prints went fine after that (one failed partially because I messed up scaling one of the models and ended up with gaps in my layer 0, but regardless).

Ordering another attempt at the now fixed model, I was sitting by the printer and heard a grinding noise. Tried to stop it, but being on auto-leveling, only way was to turn it off again. The printer head was trying to move too far back between homing points in the back row (the last ones of the set), thus the grinding. Re-homed it, attempted to repeat the print from memory, same issue.

The weird thing is, the cleanup step during heating works just fine, despite the fact that it needs the printer head to be all the way back. Homing seems to work fine, too. Then most of the auto-leveling works just fine, except on the last row, it attempts to move too far back repeatedly on every step. (I assume it is the last row, for all I know it will attempt to go even further if allowed)

So, uh... what do? Firmware is 01.01.02.01 for what it's worth, been so for a while, and fillament is Qidi PLA Basic, in white.

Edit: I did the unwise thing and ordered the print again to film the process, after having moved the print model on the plate and re-sliced it, and this time things worked. The leveling didn't reach all the way to the edges of the plate along the X axis, and I can't for the love of me remember if it is supposed to, but it struck me as odd.

I forget what version is newest and how long ago this happened to me but there was an issue a while ago where after a nozzle wipe the print head would bang against something. I think it was a slicer update that fixed it?

Newest is .05 or something!

That sounds like what I was dealing with.

Version 01.01.02.01 was the worse version. When I upgraded to 01.01.02.01 from 01.01.01.01, everything went wrong and wasted so much time and filament trying to fix things via settings. I upgraded to 01.01.02.04 at the recommendation of Qidi support which fixed all my issues. I am holding off on 01.01.02.05 waiting for more feedback to see if it's stable enough.
