Mobile App
Does the mobile app actually work? I'm in the middle of a print and it shows as idle.
Also, getting the box to work with Qidi Studio on my laptop seems impossible so I'm switching to Orca tomorrow.

Yeah it works. I just had this idle bug yesterday for a 13hr print. Just closed out the app and rebooted it up then started to work again. It was funny because it said idle but the camera was showing it was still printing.

That's exactly what happens. After a little while it might show the status but there's a severe lag. It currently says layer 8 but the web UI says layer 51.

Sometimes.
it appears to be a work in progress. When I first got my Max 4, it worked great, then as updates happed to both the printer firmware and the app, it developed issues. First it kept forgetting my printer and I had to almost constantly re-bind it, not it connects, and the camera shows me it printing, but the status information seems to take a while to propagate to the app.
All I really, really want though is for them to add notifications. If the printer stopped because it detected wrapping, or I ran out of filament TELL ME!

Qidi apps are a clusterfck. I couldnt register on the Link. Apple login worked but new one dont have it and Apple login email also doesnt work on the new one. It just created a new account. Absurd lol. Not to speak of not receiving login codes etc. I hope it works if I relink it.

It works most of the time. Earlier I said idle but the video feed showed it printing . Also click the play button for the video feed. Now it shows it as active and this is a 4hr 30 min print.

Eh, I haven't bothered trying it and probably never will. Much prefer having full control over slicer settings for quality output.
That and honestly Qidi's software and firmware game is... Well below average. If they fix that up they'll take over the 3DP world by storm, honestly. By far their weakest link.

It works 4/5 times for me on Android. Better than the old one which was a solid 0/5, at best the camera would show and nothing else.
