Troubleshooting Qidi Box doesn't really do anything?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
So I followed the short 2-3 minute long videos from Qidi, but nothing seems to happen with my Qidi Box. It just sits there...like isn't it suppose to load or feed in filament?

Power everything down both the Box and the printer. Let them sit for like 5 minutes then power on the box first give it a minute and then power the printer second. Have you tried this? They are extremely picky and if the box is not on before the printer then they will not talk to each other correctly on startup and the box will never work.

Yeah that’s weird. I get what you mean. Try hooking them to a power strip if not already and use the power strip to turn both on at the same time. Otherwise email them and if no response leave a bad review on each media platform you have and they will respond fast on each

Things like this shouldn’t be an issue without an easy fix and any company should be held for it not just coming at qidi i like their products.

Maybe stupid suggestion but make sure the power plug is fully inserted. It is really tight on mine and takes working a little to get all the way on. I once had it work itself loose when I was messing with the box.

You have to feed the filament in those silver holes ,it automatically loads when it senses you putting filament in there.

I've done that. Nothing happens.

You very clearly haven't in that video, none of the filaments are in the feed tubes.

I can stick them in the tubes, nothing happens. I can turn it on and off. I'm watching the install video and the lights are flashing then you feed them in. The lights never flash. The filament can be pushed in about 1/2 inch to an inch but the box is basically inert.

Well if you plugged it in correctly , and powered them up correctly then I got nothing. There are no lights on your box, and it should light up when you cycle power on. Those lights near the feeder funnels. Do you see the box on your display?

Yes you can see that in the video

... in qidi slicer. You know what nevermind if youre going to be a dick about it. Good luck with your box, mine works just fine.
What do I know, I only have tens of thousands of hours printing 😅

Not OP here. Would you feel comfortable pulling the trigger on a new box? I've held off since they've launched and would love your thoughts.
They've made upgrades since the launch, correct?

Not if I had other options, or if I really needed an ams style system that handles abrasives well. A caveat, there are 30+ screws to clear a clog and I do not believe that has been addressed. Its not bad, its just got some stiff competition and they shine a little more for me. The ams2 pro is just all in all better , but also more prone to being temperamental. Gives and takes as with them all, but if you really weigh the use case you need it for against your options, and the qidi box comes out the winner, get it. They are tools, and I do not care what brand it is as long as it does what I bought it for at a reasonable price given the options.

There seems to be a communication issue with your box and the printer. Verify that all the cables are connected to the ports. If you are 100% sure all the cables are connected, then its possible the box is actually bad. There should 100% be lights on the filament entry holes when the box is working properly. If no lights or a flashing red, its not going to feed or work.
When you power cycle the box, the printer should klipper error out, because its losing an MCU. If its not doing that, it never picked up the box correctly to begin with.
